I would not recommend ordering or paying for installtion from Currys. I'd say it is always worth considering the eventuality of a return and Amazon or John Lewis are much better at customer service.
We ordered a washing machine from Currys and because its too big we asked for it to be returned there and then, were told they can't take it and we have to call a "return centre" Now we are told that its considered used and we cannot return or exchange it because the installer switched it on within a minutes inattention. We have since realised our new kitchen unit is soaked by the installer switching it on without connecting it correctly. We have also since gone through a very stressful process of escalating our issue to a customer service manager who has attacked our honesty and thrown all sorts of lies despite us not gaining anything out of this and even offering to pay for another delivery and installation. We are told we have to go through a complaints process which clearly we cannot as we have a 5month old baby and cannot go without a washing machine for that long. I realise that it is our word against that of a delivery person who wouldn't want to admit to a mistake but where there is reasonable cause for doubt I would have thought that a customer should have to go through being defamated against.
