Edit: So after posting my review here I contacted by the lady who commented below from repaircare. She was thorough and helpful and looked into the problem mum and dad were having. It turns out that they had wrongly transcribed the engineers report and had the dishwasher down as being fixed. She was pretty quick in getting answers, kept me informed and refunded my dads £100 in good time. She also sent my parents a nice bunch of flowers by way of an apology. I have changed my review to 3 stars from 1 because of this lady's customer service, shame all their staff aren't like her! So although we had a terrible start, we got there in the end!
Mum and dad had arranged for this company to come and repair their dishwasher. When the repair man arrived they were told that it was non repairable. They had paid £145 upfront and were told they they would get £100 refunded but they would have to pay the £45 as a call out charge. No problem they thought, how wrong could they be!
Now three weeks later they still haven't had a refund, when Dad phoned to see why not he was told that they needed a second chance to inspect the dishwasher. This is not possible as they have had a new one delivered and paid for the old one to be disposed of, they have receipt to prove this!
I will not let this lie and will take this company to the small claims court if necessary. Shame on repaircare trying to con pensioners. Please avoid this company at all costs. Repaircare be advised you will not get away with trying to con my parents.
