After waiting for two months for a cheap sofa from Argos, I cancelled my order and found a much better sofa for the same price here. I ordered it on Sunday morning and it arrived in Bristol on Tuesday morning. I had detailed tracking information, 2 reminder emails and a reminder phone-call from Worldstores about 15 minutes before the driver was due to arrive. I couldn't ask for a better service.
I hadn't used the website for a few years so when I went through checkout I deleted all my old addresses and set up a new payment card and address I then completed my order with no option for a separate despatch address.
I recieved my email confirming the order which I duly checked and realised that the order was to be depatched to an address I had already deleted. I imediately sent a polite email to customer services to request that the item be sent to the billing address.
Maplin's response was that they couldn't change or cancel the order even though the request would have been processed before the order.
So now I have been charged for an order I will never recieve. Thankls very much for the effort Maplin, I will stick to Ebuyer in future, their customer services can do more than simply send emails.
