I have been buying from Amazon since 2005. Absolutely no problems until YODEL paired up with them. My order didn't turn up...tracked it and was told a card had been left....no card...no parcel. Ordered again...a week after expected delivery..turned out the parcel was damaged. No notification sent to me and Amazon knew nothing about it either. Amazon refunded and sent the third parcel...finally got my order...took over a month. Then ordered a hub from Virginmedia...didn't turn up (sent by Yodel)..then Virginmedia told me on the 18th that my hub had turned up 17th Dec at 3pm and was signed for, (was due on the 11th)...after the phone call to Virginmedia I went out for a couple of hours...came back to find the parcel left on my door step. Absolutely shocking communications. I run a business and regularly send parcels by carrier...will never use Yodel.
I have been trading on eBid for almost 5 years. I joined in the spring of 2006 and have seen the site steadily grow in variety of items for sale and my own sales.
What I most love about this site is the helpfulness of the forum members. No question is regarded as too silly too ask and members give advice for free.
I have found that the sellers and buyers who stay in touch on the forums all look out for each other and this makes for a real community site and not just a huge impersonal trading venue.
I have traded (and still do) on many venues but I now have only two sites I trade on that I consider my business home.
Particularly, I would recommend Ebid for buyers looking for unusual items, especially collectables, hand crafted items and jewellery that I have not seen sold elsewhere.
I buy all of my gift items on eBid and would suggest anyone reading this might do the same :)
