We had a Vax cylinder hoover bought October 2012 special offer £50 from Argos. Machine blew up literally. Phoned the customer service but not on the 0844 number, I don't see why customers have to foot the bill for their product breaking down. Yes its a local rate number but not from a mobile. Found this alternative number 01905 823310. Advisor took email, waited for email which didn't arrive as advisor took email down wrong which delayed the process a week despite him confirming the email with me??
Phoned back, resent email. Had to spend £1.99 for signed delivery. Didn't want to take the chance reading the previous reviews online of Vax mysteriously not receiving paperwork. Sent off paperwork on Friday received new Vax on Wednesday and it was an upgraded model. This is the first hoover I've had that didn't make it year and we are a small household and don't use our hoover very often. I will see how long this one lasts. One year is not accepetable
