I've ordered shoes from Cotton Traders in the past to find that their sizes are snug, to say the least! So, with trepidation, I ordered some snowboots in my actual size, and they fitted. Hurray! So, feeling confident I ordered another pair of shoes in my size, only to find that they were like boats! Way too big and flapping all over the place. This kind of inconsistency is hopeless when ordering online. And then, on top of the frustration of ill-fitting items, you have to struggle with the wretched Hermes website (watch out if you don't have a printer!) and pay £2.95 to send things back. You can tell a lot about a company and how they value their customers from their website. Cotton Traders makes no mention of Returns on their homepage. In fact the information is buried in the Help section - not at the foot of the Home page where most retailers put it. I won't use them again.
After a bad experience with another online shoe retailer it was a relief to deal with a company which treats its customers well. All products I have ordered so far have been received very quickly, in perfect condition and well-packed. They include returns labels for both Collect+ and the Royal Mail so that you can choose which is easiest to use for your circumstances and also helps those of us who don't have access to a printer. Great retailer - happy to recommend.
My prices jumped up whilst on a fixed price tariff. I wrote complaining three times and received no response. It was only when I stated that they were in breach of the terms and conditions of the contract and said that I would refer the matter to the Energy Ombudsman that I finally received a response. Even then, their primary concern was that I wouldn't refer them to the Ombudsman. I would never use npower again and will be moving company as soon as my lock-in period is over.
