The companies they use are NOT ABTA compliant, this gives Travel republic free reign to act recklessly with your money without fear of recompense!
They/ the companies they act as agents for, deliberately double booked us so they could fill up other, less attractive apartments. When we told them we would not stop there as they weren't secure and we weren't offered a safe key, they said we had to get a refund from Travel republic.
Travel republic never replied to a complaint made with ABTA's 28 day guidelines and only responded when I tweeted them, only to let me know they were 'chasing it up' (doing nothing)
They also refused to publish my review of the apartments I wasn't given on their site as they said 'it was more of a complaint' and complaints should just be emailed to them.
