Please see below initial review for my response to cjs cd keys response, rebuffing what is essentially a pack of lies and if anybody wants any of the relevant emails or screenshots relating this to verify my claims, i am more than happy to provide them, something im confident cjs cd keys will not be.
CJS CD Keys tried to have taken down by claiming it breached trust pilots guidelines which it did not and still does not, and they have now more recently tried to have pulled twice due to lack of proof of purchase. They have admitted it is them who keep reporting it as not having proof of purchase despite also acknowledging that they have fulfilled this order. They have since attempted to have the review removed again by using the same initial trick of claiming it violates trust pilots policies knowing full well it does not. All information contained within this review is factual, and proof can be provided as to its contents if required.
I have used cjs cd for over 12 months with this being a total of 5 purchases, however I have never had cause to use their support ticket system as keys were usually delivered promptly (even preorders), but not so with my latest purchase of the stick of trust. The only way to contact them is using a support ticket system, which they warn you could result in a ban if you post more than one ticket, and they also warn you they will delete the oldest ticket and put your new one to the back of the queue. Way to go on the customer services front, I have never heard of a company advertising it will ignore your complaints if you make too many of them! Then the actual responses I received:-
"your autokey system states:-
No keys are currently stored on our online system for this game. The admins have been notified of this, and will replenish the keys within 12 hours! You will be notified by email when the keys have been replenished and are ready for collection! If you are trying to collect a pre-order key for a game that has not been released yet, then you can expect Autokey to be replenished approximately 2 days before the release date of the game.
It is now 1.5 days until release of this title, and Id appreciate a key so that i can get it preloaded onto my system."
Over 5 hours later, they replied:-
"See product page for release date."
So you will note, my message them acknowledges that there is 1.5 days to release so i clearly have read the release date on their website, and they tersely tell me to look at the product page for the release date, not addressing my request at all. Now initially I wrote in my original review that they either had not read my ticket, or alternatively they had a robot sending out reviews. I actually received a response via trust pilot which acknowledged that they had not read it as they received many queries such as that, so sent what would be their standard response. Way to go CJS, you simply glanced at it and pressed a button without checking if the response was correct.
Now this is were it gets interesting as CJS begin to act very unprofessionally. I receive the standard please review our site on trust pilot, so i respond to it to notify them that I already have, and its not very good. Not long after, I note that my review has been taken down and is being investigated by customer service for a possible breach of trust pilot policy, and i receive a response to the email which reads:-
"Please send ID before making any further orders on CJS. Thank you."
Now bear in mind, I have used cjs cd keys for a year, with 5 purchases so far, and now they are asking for id? I send them the following:-
"I beg your pardon?
I have bought 5 products off you in the space of a year. Why are you asking me for ID after 5 successful none fraudulent purchases?
The only reference to any policy related to "ID" as you put it is contained without your terms and conditions:-"
I then provide them with their terms and conditions regarding this (i wont bore you), which they reply with:-
"It is your prerogative to write a scathing and not very good review. - Although common courtesy would lead most people to work with us and resolve the issues which we are always willing to do.
It is CJS prerogative to request ID."
So lets review what they have done. They have very unprofessionally retaliated by reporting my review as breaching trust pilots terms and conditions which they know and i know it does not, and they have then locked out my account so I cannot collect my existing keys, and cannot purchase from them again until i untangle any red tape they throw at me. I imagine this ID policy of theirs is an anti fraud policy designed to ensure the person is not committing fraud, and from what I have seen, the implement it on a customers first purchase, or perhaps if they believe that the account may now be committing fraud. In this case, they implemented it because I had incurred their wrath.
I sent further tickets regarding them locking me out which they ignored, and I only got back into my account after lambasting them for the lockout on their facebook fan page, which they simply replied that my account was now available.
Further messages where sent via their facebook fan page presence in regards to answering the points raised in my ticket, all of which have been ignored so far.
So in summary, don't expect excellent customer service when either things go wrong, or things are taking longer than they state on the pages. Expect to only be able to initiate contact with them on a ticketing system where they could delete your ticket or even ignore it. Expect either no response to your ticket, or if you are lucky enough for them to answe, expect terse replies that do nothing to address your issue. If you do raise relevant and factual criticism of them, expect them to lock you out of your account, throw red tape at you in order for you to either gain access to the keys you have bought, for them to throw whatever sanctions they can at you, and to have them attempt to silence that criticism by claiming your review
violates trust pilots policies in an attempt to have it taken down.
CJS-CD Keys have since posted a response to this review in order to attempt to cast me in a much poorer light. If you are reading this far, let me address their comments.
Firstly, i go under a Pseudonym much like everybody on the internet, in forums etc. I do surprisingly include my first name (ill give you a clue, its brian). Its usually unwise to use a full name on the internet as it can result in fraud etc, and also i also like my privacy.
Secondly, I don't have 6 reviews for this company, I have had to keep removing and re posting 1 review due to cjs cd keys attempting to have my review removed in a number of ways which themselves would probably violate trust pilots terms and conditions, something i have reported them for. They have twice had my review removed for not having proof of purchase, despite the fact they know im their customer and the transaction took place, secondly the tried to have it removed for a violation of their terms and conditions, again knowing it did not.
Thirdly note that as far as im concerned, all the evidence regarding me being locked out my account points to it not being an accident. it all started with my email to them which read:-
"Ive already written my review thanks, and its scathing and not very good."
To which I received the response:-
"Please send ID before making any further orders on CJS. Thank you."
In addition, please consider their further response regarding my perogative to post a poor review so it was their perogative to ask for id. This was no mistake, it was retaliatory sanctions for the poor review which was not professional.
Now make up your own mind. Did their systems flag a customer of 12 months on his 5th purchase up for fraud, or does their response regarding their perogative suggest that this is an excuse, you decice.
I also have never asked them to send me a free copy of the £29.99 edition of the game with the followship pack. I will admit I may have been honestly mistaken believing this was the option when I purchased it, and pursued the key for this pack, however this is and never was the cause of any anger regarding the way this matter has been handled by cjs keys.
I also was never angry about being asked for id which i did actually provide in while trying to illicit a response regarding the comment related to their perogative.
The price of the tyres was great when you compared it to the likes of national tyres and windscreens for instance, however the service at the company who fitted it was a little surly. Clearly not interested in me as a customer, I felt more like a second rate customer. I guess they are not interested as they themselves are not selling me the tyres. Not really black circles fault, let's hope not all fitters give the same impression.
