Grandson's partner bought a laptop. Developed a fault within a few weeks. Took them 21 days to decide it was fatally faulty and deemed it a 'write-off'. After loads of phone calls they agreed to refund but when grandson and partner arrived at Currys in Leigh they had already put the refund onto a gift card and would not refund them in cash. They didn't know what they were entitled to so decided to buy the notebook which actually mis-sold as it was incompatible with the wifi printer. This was repalced with a samsung laptop which, you guessed it, is faulty but the reply from the Leigh store is that when the fault appears (the brightness doesn't work and screen dulls) they should re-boot it! They have also been stuck with norton anti-virus on the original laptop which they won't refund neither will they refund the software packages that were on a card registered to the original laptop. I'm taking this to Currys HQ adn to the papers and to TV consumer editors. Currys are selling faulty goods and treating this young couple with contempt. Dreadful situation.
