I've just spent £3000 on DigitalRev.com (here's to what it would have been in the UK) and with spending such amount I done my research. I've watched a lot of the DigitalRevTV videos on Youtube.com and found them to be the overseas company I bought with because I felt I knew them through Kai etc.
THERE IS ONE CATCH. DigitalRev promise customers in the UK that import tax/duty will be paid by the company (which is true,) HOWEVER, DigitalRev actually de-value the price of your order. As I said my order came to £3000 and once I had received my order I notice that the invoice slip on the package said £148.00. This means that the UK Customs have every right to open your package (as with any package coming through our borders) but because the value of the package has been de-valued UK Customs WILL ADD Import Duty/Tax to your order - which must be paid by you.
In the small print DigitalRev do say they will be billed - but they also say when the package is with the courier (in most cases DHL) the sole responsibilty lies on the new owner.. which is me. And let's try getting a foreign company to fork out customs you've just had to pay. DHL can turn up at your door demaning X Amount and if you refuse - the package simply will be returned to DigitalRev.. get your money back? No you refused to take it in!
I was also asked to confirm details before the shipped (which I found unusual but I did anyway) and everything was fine. I ordered Sunday evening GMT and it arrived Friday morning. DHL express live track is great for updating where your package is.
Great customer service on the phone (when you eventually get through... must call before 10am GMT)
The bottom line: If your afraid to buy from overseas - keep it that way or take a huge chance. There is no UK Warranty with any products bought although you do get 1 Year DigitalRev Warranty. I will buy from them again - they are not the cheapest HK website, but I do trust them enough to purchase items again.
