I ordered a canon battery charger LC-E8 for a next day delivery to collect in store as I urgently needed the batteries charged for a filming within next 10 hours.
Upon collection on the 21st of August at 10.30 am, I found the pack containing not the charger, but a £450 worth of Canon camera.
I went back to the store, and informed them of this and they said that a new charger may or may not be delivered sometime in the future. I was extremely agitated as this had just ruined my entire production plan for the filming.
The guy at the KNOWHOW desk, Ben, who seems to work in the photography department, offered to charge the batteries for me at the store.
Only that it meant I would have drive back home and bring them, and then again pick them up, meaning I will need to spare 4 hours of my day out of work time on this ridiculous arrangement.
Seeing no other option, I drove out, brought back the batteries to see that Ben was merrily on lunch. And there were 20 other employees walking around me as though I was air. One assistant Alan Russell, who knew nothing about cameras, tried to get a manager to serve me but the manager did not even look at my face and stood chatting to a woman about the display tshirts and designs for 45 minutes and walked away.
I asked for an update on Ben's length lunch as I had stood there for an entire hour and Alan informed me that Ben was outside having some cigarettes and I would need to wait.
Ben finally showed up after I had spent a good hour and a half and took the batteries of me.
In entirety, I took leave from work for an ENTIRE DAY to get my batteries charged up and then had to spare an extra hour in the night to go pick them up.
And more importantly - THERE IS STILL NO UPDATE ON WHERE THE HELL MY MONEY IS that you have kept with you so conveniently and not refunded to me, whilst happily taking back your camera which was a wonderful swap - I probably should have kept it.
I am so pleased to see how you reward an honest customer who returned an expensive item that you sneaked in my packet accidentally.
Speaking with Ben, I was assured that customer services were going to ring me within few hours and it has been 48 hours and there is no sign of my money or the charger.
