Never again!!!

I ordered some goods from another company who uses DPD for deliveries. I paid extra for the next day delivery and was expecting my parcel on Friday 23/08/13 which, according to an email from DPD, would be delivered by a driver called Irfan between 14:44 and15:44. At 15:55 having had nothing delivered I tried to track my parcel through DPD just to find out that apparently it had been delivered and signed for at 14:55!!! the only thing is it was not delivered to the address provided and it was not signed by the person that had paid for it!!! I then spent ages trying to contact them to find out where my things got delivered to just to be told that they can do absolutely nothing about it and that I needed to contact the sender so they can contact DPD so they can identify the parcel, interview the driver, hopefully find out where he left my parcel, then retrieve it and then bring it to me!!!! Sound like a lot of hassle and a big delay for a parcel that was clearly needed quickly as I paid extra to get it by Friday or Saturday at the latest!!!! The whole situation had made me loose £60 as the goods ordered were for decorating a cake I was making for a customer....
I can't understand how anything can get delivered to a wrong address with the amount of details they want from you for delivery: house number, street name, town, county, country, post code, email address, contact telephone number etc....They don't even care if the right person signs for the parcel!!!
In the future, before I order anything from anybody, I will make sure that they DO NOT use DPD as their couriers.

Sorry to hear about the issues you experienced. I see that the driver got your parcel and completed the delivery on Saturday in the end - is everything okay?
