Fatbirds

Took my payment without having the goods in stock; I'm still waiting for them to arrive!

I placed the order, on Monday 19th Aug (items listed on the website as in stock), and payment was taken at the same time. Received this request for feedback a week later on Monday 26th, but the goods still hadn't arrived. Phoned on Tuesday 27th Aug (8 days after placing the order and making payment) to discover that, not only has my order not been sent out, but Fatbirds don't even have the items in stock. They'll apparently dispatch them to me when they arrive from the wholesaler. So 1 star feedback for:
1. Showing the item as being in stock when it clearly wasn't
2. Taking my money regardless
3. Not contacting me to tell me about the delay

Dear Dave Spragg,

At the time you placed your order these brakes were showing in stock but unfortunately all these items were committed to pre-orders as this is a brand new extremely popular product so we were waiting on the next drop to complete your order.

You should have had a email with this detail from me (karl@fatbirds.co.uk, sent to you on 20th Aug) with this detail.

With regards payment, you actually process the payment yourself in real time when you place your order, unfortunately the older systems that collected your details for later processing are now illegal so we are unable to use these.

I still have your order open here, would you still like these items or should I refund this?

The brakes are due to be with us this week.
