So I am not allowed to contact you and have to contact the catalogue company I purchased from. I have, and I have sent them copies of all these reviews and suggested they use DPD. To anyone else reading this let me give you a brief insight into the world of a good delivery company. DPD - confirm your delivery day by email. The morning of the delivery they text confirmation then later on they text the exact hour your parcel will be delivered between. Never once let me down. Then theres Hermes who claim to "make delivery easy".
Over the past 2 months I have had four different disasters with Hermes. I cant be bothered to list all in detail but they range from cards being left that are blank, cards being left with a number on that the driver never answers, he never replies to texts or voicemails so its really pointless leaving a number. States will re attempt the next day - doesn't bother to. I have to spend ages on the phone to the catalogue company who cannot help me. I have had Yours Clothing complain to them and ended up giving me a credit of 30.00 due to Hermes letting me (and them down). The most recent one... silly me, foolishly thought ordering on guaranteed next day delivery and paying extra would work. Not when Hermes are delivering. Took the day off work, waited all day, no delivery attempt, no card. So imagine my surprise when I look on the tracking system to find "courier to reattempt" alleging he has already attempted. Given that I was say in the room near the front door all day I know this is not true. No card left. AND I took a days leave just for this.
Reading all these reviews I will now refuse to buy from any company that use Hermes and every time I find one that does I will send them a link to this site and the information regarding DPD.
Hermes need an undercover boss in or something. Clearly the franchising out of private couriers just leaves you with people who don't care for the customer or indeed the reputation of Hermes.
You should be ashamed.
