Purchased a LED Samsung TV - did not turn on

Purchased a Samsung LED TV from curry, plugged it in and the screen did not turn on. Went back to the store within 24 hours and told them it wasn't working - they told me to ring samsung as they could not replace it. They completely ignored any rights i had as a consumer and as a result I am issuing them with a summons for a small claims court, this is the only way to deal with such companies - their service is the worst in the business - keep away from them !
