Not Your Daughter's Jeans - Not for Me Jeans!

I was very interested when I spotted some N.Y.D.J.s in my local ladies' dress shop; I was with my husband at the time and it was just before Christmas 2012. They were pricy at £140.00 but my other half encouraged me to try them on and said he would buy me a pair for Christmas if they suited me.They fitted perfectly and my husband was happy because he was relieved of the problem of choosing my Christmas gift and I was happy because I would never have treated myself to a pair of jeans priced so high.

I wore the jeans only for "best" when "smart, casual" was called for and never about the house. In the eight months to the following August, I probably wore them 10 times, certainly no more. They were possibly washed very gently and on 30 degrees about 4 times, if that. In July of 2013, I felt that they were becoming loose but knew I hadn't lost weight; then in August we took my granddaughter on holiday and when I was reviewing the snaps on the computer I saw how truly baggy the jeans were. My husband had already noticed but chosen not to upset me by pointing it out!

I was going to alter them but the knees are particularly baggy so that option isn't open to me; nor can I take them back to the shop because of the time lapse. The company web site will not accept complaints after six months. About £14 per wear is really, really poor value for money!

Not Your Daughter's Jeans; Not Anyone's Jeans!

I spotted these N.Y.D.J.s in my local boutique for the older lady; I was with my husband at the time and it was just before Christmas 2012. Nationalgrid

Probably the most unhelpful organisation of its type.

National Grid installed a new gas meter at a property we own because there was a leak. The engineer did not leave the previous meter reading. The reading on the new meter was 99999. On the basis of this we were presented with a bill for well over a thousand pounds for a period of about three months during the summer when the house was unoccupied. National Grid say they cannot supply us with either the meter reading at the time of the change or the serial number of either meter. They can only supply the details to the energy supplier. No-one we have spoken to at National Grid has offered to investigate the problem and each person we speak to repeats that they can only supply the details to the energy supplier, EDF energy. EDF energy have repeatedly said that National Grid are not supplying them with the necessary information.

Eon Uk

When an "annual" service is not annual!

We had an annual service booked for between 10.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. on Friday 15th November 2013. The engineer failed to arrive in spite of the fact we had received three texts to remind us of the visit. When I spoke to a representative of e.on by telephone he said there was "a problem with the engineer" and offered a new date in February. I pointed out that this would not then be an "annual" service and he said he would try to arrange something sooner. As there was no word either by telephone or in writing from e.on several days later I rang again and this time was told that they would speak to their supervisor to arrange a service. Again there was no word from e.on several days later so I rang again, now to be told more than once that there was no record of the original appointment! The person I spoke to was called Kyle; he refused to give his second name and was clearly eating! He said that I was still covered but in my view one of the reasons for paying for an annual service of a gas boiler is to be safe! I regard the fact that no valid reason was given for the original appointment not being kept and the fact that record of it has apparently disappeared from e.on's system as being grossly unprofessional.

Sales@Moonpig.com

Great value and prompt service.

I love personalizing cards for my friends and family and have always received quality service from Moonpig. The web site is easy to use and the prices good.

FireplaceWorld.co.uk

The fireplace arrived on time and in perfect condition and proved very good value compared with very similar fireplaces in Homebase.

We would definitely buy from this company again. The fireplace is very robust and decorative and was delivered exactly on time. There was no delivery charge and when I 'phoned to ask for a duplicate invoice the gentleman I spoke to at the company could not have been more helpful.
