Bought replacement washing machine for daughter. She had picked out this model (LG) and found competitive price with Stock Appliances. She works long hours and as we were visiting her arranged delivery on a given day. Arrived as promised within times quoted on text, delivery guy was A1, did just what was needed and took away old machine and packaging for recycling. Installation was easy but I imagine he would have been happy to have installed it too if the buyer didn't appear able.
Daughter put the machine to good use that evening and all seems just perfect. Thanks
My wife sold a lot of stuff on eBay as we're downsizing. EBay recommend myHermes otherwise we had never heard of them. 10/10 for convenience, 0/10 for delivery service. In fairness a few parcels arrived safely, the error seems to be attaching the word FRAGILE to your parcel.
She sold 2 ornamental teapots. The first was paid for immediately and posted the next morning. It was carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and then boxed. Fragile tape was wrapped around it. It arrived all smashed. She still had the second and re-opened in and further wrapped and packaged it to the extent that a steam-roller would be needed to smash it in transit. Sadly it seems myHermes delivery vehicle came in contact with a steam-roller en route as this second package arrived smashed to smithereens,
It is patently obvious that something is going on during delivery that means that fragile items have seven bells knocked out of them, presumably some of their staff find it funny.
Insurance doesn't cover anything breakable.
Goodness knows where these items are being destroyed. Maybe myHermes are being sabotaged by competitors? maybe they aren't paying someone in the chain of delivery who has decided to reek havoc? maybe they are employing a bunch of rogues? maybe their van was crushed by a steam-roller two days running? One things for sure, don't rely on myHermes to get anything breakable there in one piece.
