I ordered a sofa suite from a nice enough and professional company, and was informed that it would be delivered by Night Freight, on Monday 25 March.
I rang the Night Freight office and confirmed that we were the first drop off at 7am in the morning, I thought " this is great, I don't need to book time off work and most importantly drive my son to school in good time.
I waited until 8am and rang the office again, only to be informed that the driver was delayed, anyway the delivery men turned up at 8.20am, knowing that my son was going to late, I asked them if they could wait outside for 5mins, as the school is just down the road. The response that I received from the delivery men was completely unaccaeptable, they were rude, unprofessional - no manners at all. I was told that they would simply leave without removing the packaging and ifr they "wasted" their time, they would be on the job until 10am. Not having a choice, I waied and they only finished at 9.15am and left their garbage on our door step.
Fair enough, if they did not want to wait, there is a correct way of coming across, they were just a bunch of cow boys after all.
To make matters worse, I wrote a complaint to their office, still waiting for a response after 4 days. How unprofessional is this. We are left at the mercy of an unprofessional organisation, when as a customer, we've done nothing wrong. Companies like these should be reported to the press!!
