I recently used Yodel for the first time
I sold an item on e bay a picture which sold for £36 the cost of your courier was £8
Now I realised that when I shipped the item I was not covered for damage but only for loss
Just a bit of background I am an aircraft senior stores officer at BAE Systems at Warton nr Preston I am used to packing high cost aircraft items so a picture was no problem
The item has been delivered and I have been contacted by the buyer to say the item was smashed and ruined
Here is the first message
Hi mate I have just received the picture and I'm afraid to say that the glass is smashed to pieces and the print ruined by shards of glass...god only knows what delivery company did to it as it was wrapped very well
Sorry for the bad news
Here is the second message
Yes it was a shame, from the way it was broken I can only assume it was layed flat with something stacked on it...I'm out at moment but will attach pics when I'm back thank you for your quick refund...I think the company should most def be liable as it has been shattered to pieces
I would like you to investigate this and I would like some compensation
I’m not sure I would be using Yodel again
