Went to stoneacre at Worksop as they were offering 0% finance.
We were told the car that we decided to buy had been fully safety checked and that it was ready for the road. we had the car for less than two days before we returned it as it had developed major handling problems, problems setting off from cold (which nearly got us killed!), discracefull fuel consumption.
also we descovered the finance agreement was not what we had actualy agreed to. We were told it was on 0%, which then became 10% BUT was infact, acording to the documentation that we took home on a rate of 22.7% we also were not told about the final settlement figure of £515 even though we spercificaly asked if there was a larger final payment.
We returned the vehicle, as we are entitled to do so under the sale of goods act, in less than two days. We were told by the manager that we had no rights as coustomers and it was our tough luck for buying the car.
They now have the car. Are refusing to acept that there is anyting wrong with the car. WIll NOT REFUND the £4500 for the car to Barcleys. Barcleys state that we have to pay the loan in full + interest (£7500) and are on Stoneacres side. We are passing our complaints with Barcleys on to the Finantial ombudsman and Stoneacre to trading standards and our solicitors.
Stress any expence we can ill afford and do not need. If this was a good company none of this would be nesorcery
