As my car was off the road with a broken alternator, I was urgently requiring a replacement. I sourced one and paid extra money for next day delivery through Interlink Express. A text arrived confirming delivery between 11.00am and 1.00pm. When the part had not arrived by 2.00pm I went online and checked the tracking. Interlink Express have been to my house several times before but the tracking said that the address could not be found. No attempt had been made to phone me at any stage so I called the local depot at Plymouth. I was told that the driver was an agency driver and 'you know what they are like'. He would be coming back later to deliver and has my telephone number if there is a problem. When the part had still not arrived by 4.30pm I called again to be told that the part would definitely be delivered today. Needless to say it is now past 7.00pm and no delivery or phone call. Far too late to fit an alternator outside anyway. I am out tomorrow so who knows what will happen.
The trader I bought from has been informed of this failure and is very unhappy. It seems there have been other problems.
Poor service but much worse than that unprofessional behaviour and dishonesty.
