Currys

Won't accept warranty claim

LG have messed me about since the 1st of December when my Home Cinema System died while still in warranty

I bought my TV and Home Cinema System online through Currys

I rang LG as soon as the system broke and was told I would receive a call back (Funnily enough LG haven't once phoned me)

LG have given me two support tickets

One automated reply came back stating I wasn't in warranty, the other stating that my online receipt wasn't proof of purchase

I gave up and rang Currys

Again a promised call back and I have again rang them today

Currys have stated that as I didn't ring them when my Home Cinema system broke, that my purchase wasn't covered under warranty as it was now out of warranty.

I explained that I had wasted over a week trying to contact LG but Currys weren't moving on their position.

What are my choices now to resolve this?

Small Claims court?

Any advice (apart from don't buy LG) can you guys offer me in order to rectify this?

What's my legal stance?
