Whenever I see that Amazon have sent out a parcel via Hermes, I groan. I have never had one delivered on time and usually they say they tried to deliver and that they will try again tomorrow. This is completely untrue. I'm sure they haven't been near the place when they say. Each time I suffer their bad service, I send in a complaint to Amazon in the hope that they will stop using this dreadful company.
I can't begin to tell you how frustrating it is trying to deal with this company. I am now 5 months in to a twelve month contract, and even though I have threatened to sue for breach of contract, they still ignore my requests to be released from their awful service (they quote £259 cancellation fee). I did in fact consult a solicitor, but his advice was that generally they have their customers by the proverbials and that although i would undoubtedly win a case against them, it really isn't worth the trouble and expense - just leave them as soon as one can.
I have complained about every service provided except the mobile broadband sim in my iPad which works fine. I have emailed at least 12 times, and written letters of complaint to their head office twice.
Admittedly, they have apologized and given compensation of about £70 thus far, but I would willingly give back the £70 to be able to switch providers.
Isn't it interesting that all the reviews give extreme results, either 1 star or 5 stars? I suspect that most of the 5 stars are folks that benefit from signing people up. I understand that the agent I signed up with pays nothing for his utilities as he has been so successful in signing new clients. I can assure you that I am nothing more than a very unhappy customer who has received what I believe to be dreadful service, and as I have said before, once my contract period is up, I will never use this company again.

I did phone once and it took an age to get through, but when I did the agent was polite and helpful.
I had planned on waiting three weeks and was OK with that, but I paid by direct transfer to avoid the credit card charges (pity), and that added another week as nothing happens with the order until the money is cleared in their bank account.
Computer well packed in a large box (too big for the courier to easily throw around) so that was good, and it worked out of the box. I am very pleased with the quality.
I love the fact that there is no software junk pre-installed as one gets with most other suppliers.
