We purchased a new, fridge, oven and gas hob totalling Approx £900. In the store we didnt think we needed help with installation as my partner is a electrician but once we got home, we realised we did. We immediately phoned back to arrange for currys to provide installation. We were charged £95 (which i don't grudge) for the installation. So a few days later the 2 tradesmen arrived to fit our gas hob (which is built into our work top) while taking out the old hob they split and took the surface off our worktop leaving it all cracked...they told me at the time but id paid £95 for them to fit the hob so they were doing it. In all fairness they tried to patch it up but it looks horrendous, so we phoned Currys to complain and basically we've been passed from pillar to post......been told that they won't replace worktops
old for new...been told to claim our house insurance...the list is endless. They offered us £500 to replace the worktop (which isnt stocked anymore) Why should we have 1 worktop in our whole kitchen different from the rest??
So if you pay for a 'professional' company to fit your purchases...just be aware!!
