Easyjet

OK but expensive for last minute flights

The last time we needed to fly was when our car broke down in France. We had to get flights home the cheapest and quickest way possible.

Easyjet was the cheapest airline to fly the closest to home. In this case Liverpool, where we live in North Manchester.

The flights for 5 of us with 3 bags cost 808 Euro, which was just the standard Easyjet deal. We got the feeling we paid more than half the plane put together though. The only criticism is Easyjet had the seats but insist on charging high fares for last minute or they would fly empty rather than sell the seats.

On the plane was ok. Everything is extra cost but that is expected from a budget airline. The plane left on time and arrived slightly early.

I would say you get what you pay for, because if we had booked these flights early like so many do, you get no frills for a cheap flight. They run them like buses, but again thats to be expected to make them cost effective.

Its unfortunate we had to book late simply because our car had to stay in France until it could be returned home.

Aria

One of the best out there at the moment.

I have used Aria many times in the past but mainly over their shop counter.

Recent times however I find me having to use mail order systems more and more as I simply dont have the time to go to the counter.

I am a trader so buy components on a regular basis. I need items to be delivered when a company says they will, and recently I've found a few of my regular suppliers to struggle with providing that service even though everything they say on their websites states they can.

Aria has not let me down yet. You will always find someone who has minor gripes with a supplier then take it too far as to say they are the worst company in the world. It does help if you know a bit about the product and service they are providing before you can judge them.

I can honestly say all my recent orders, some for over 20 items at a time, have been delivered next day without having to pay the extra for their priority guaranteed next day service. As long as your order is in nice and early that day, there shouldnt be a problem.

The only thing that can let them down is lack of items available. Compared to other computer component retailers, their variety in some items can lead to a lack of choice, but you cant have everything.

Poor Poor Service

Well it seems like a respectable company that has hit the big time has finally stopped being customer lead and the money machine firmly kicks in by not giving a damn about the customer.

We are talking about failure to deliver the goods on time. Two orders placed in as many weeks. Both failed to be delivered on time and end up arriving late by up to 5 days. The excuses, a glitch in the stock system is their explanation. I am still waiting for the second order!

On both occasions their system flagged items out of stock. Notified after closing time by text message, so there's nothing can be done for the same day despatch as they sell it, and charge for it - nothing cheap about delivery costs here!

When you do get contact from them, they deny the items were out of stock and then let you know they will despatch. The second order was delayed 2 days before despatch as their system flagged 2 out of stock items, then they advise they weren't out of stock, but yet still delayed. I suspect the items were out of stock but they won't admit a flaw in their 'live' online stock system.

If you order more than a couple of items, expect problems. They never used to be like this, buyers beware!
