I used to shop in pcworld for my computer bits regularly.
Now the store in Peterborough is so diverse in products it sells but has very little in stock for computing. Have they spread themselves too thin and forgotton how they became successful?
I wanted an internal hard drive and found 4 to choose from at ridiculous prices.
I needed also a pc to be looked at but was told that it appeared too complicated to deal with - they seem to charge a lot of money for only fixing easy problems!!
Their on line prices are better but having read other reviews I shall give them a miss.
This company is apparently a courier type company.
I have found it impossible to contact them. Their 0871 number has unreasonable wait times and on a number of occassions hung up on me. Their website contact page just comes up with errors when sending. Their feedback page has resulted in no responces and the other telephone number is automated.
The item we ordered was advertised as 1-2 weeks delivery, we are still waiting 5 weeks on! Contact with the company was only possible through email as the wait times on their phone line were unreasonably long. Lots of excuses for lack of dispatch - bank holidays, item still not shipped from Poland. 5 weeks after order we were told the item was in a warehouse near where we lived then we heard nothing for a week.
The last email we received from the company was a tracking order and telephone number for DHL, guess what, the tracking order does no register with DHL. This company is a fraudulent joke that will not leave you laughing.
This company take payment immediately for items not in stock (nice interest earner for them) and seem to source the stock from goodness knows where. Looks like a claim for refund through the credit card is needed here.
THE SOONER THIS TYPE OF COMPANY ARE BANNED FROM THE NET THE BETTER and I shall always check trustpilot before buying anything else.
Placed order for canon 60d dslr camera listed as IN STOCK and 1-2 days delivery. After a week I enquired and was told 2-7 days dispatch. 2 weeks later it took all afternoon to get through on the phone and was told the item was out of stock and could not give an estimation of dispatch date. Payment was taken almost immediately for something that I was mislead about - is this FRAUDULENT?
Misleading website information, payment taken immediately for out of stock items (earning them and costing me interest), poor communication about the delay of my order, awful customer servises telephone, seems from other reviews I'm not alone - wish I'd read them first.
