I had Refractive Lens Exchange surgery in December 2012.
Six months on my vision is 20/15 in left eye and 20/20 in right eye according to Optical Express optometrists.
However, I have ghosting, blurry vision, slight double vision and shading on numbers and letters, headaches and pain/pressure behind my eyes. My eyes are also dry since the surgery.
At my last check up, on 25 April, I was told that nothing can be done do fix those issues mentioned above. Apparently, according to optometrist who saw me on 25th April, 20-25 people who see him on daily basis say the same???
I spoke with someone from OE head office on 26 April who said that I should not be told that and they offered me to meet with the surgeon, Mr Alex George on 21st May. I asked is that date for sure and I was assured it was. The reason why I asked about date certainty was that for my last three visits to Cabot Circus I was called to reschedule my appointment 'due to lack of staff'.
On 29th April I was called and told that despite being assured on 26 April that i will see Mr George, the appointment has to be changed for either tomorrow, 30 April or in June. I already explained to OE head office that I can't make on 30 April due to work commitments and June would be too late.
I feel that Mr George, or any other OE surgeon, cannot be bothered to see me now.
I am really concerned that I am no more of interest to Optical Express.
I am now considering whether or not to take legal action against the Optical Express.
UPDATE: 1st May 2013.
Thank you Stephen for your reply.
I was contacted yesterday by one of your colleagues who set an appointment with Dr George on 6h May and I can't wait to see him.
I will post my comments after the appointment.
To Trustpilot or Optical Express - I see that I am not under category as confirmed patient though person who posted positive feedback after me is confirmed patient. I left my patient ID with you so I would welcome if you could verify that.

A further update...
I changed the rating to 3 stars now.
The reason for this is that I took a second, and third, opinion about the pre-surgery, , outcome of the surgery and post treatment.
Btw, I was seen by Dr George and I had quite a long and extensive exam. I am now given some drops to reduce the ghosting.
Back to second and third opinion....
Whoever saw me, whether the NHS or private surgeons, complemented the surgery I had. They said that the lenses are the latest model and they are perfectly positioned. They also welcomed that the OE provided the full and detailed history of pre and post op.
What they, surgeons, didn't like that much was the fact that I only saw my surgeon/s when I had the surgery, not before or after the surgery. They also didn't like the fact that I was seen by a number of different optometrists at the OE, which I always thought was one of the main problems (different info from different optometrist).
I changed to 3 stars only for three reasons:
1. I was not told in detail about all the risks and/or side effects that might happen. I understand that the OE wants to sell the product, and that they are high street company, but they really need to be honest with their patients/customers rather than talking in small print.
2. I only met my surgeons when they did the op, not before or after.
3. I was seen by too many optometrists instead of having one who should know my history by heart.
When I was assured by second opinion eye surgeons i decided to raise the rating. I never thought of giving 5 stars. I gave 3 instead of 4 stars only for reasons mentioned above.
Would I do again this surgery? Definitely as I was already at that point that anything done later would have higher risk.
Would I do it with Optical Express? No, unless they change their practice and:
a) explain risks in detail, in written and verbally
b) surgeon does all the necessary preps before the surgery and the same surgeon does the surgery; and
c) the same optometrist sees you on regular check ups after the surgery
I hope that OE will change their practice. If not, I suggest you to visit proper eye surgeon if you wish to do either laser or lens replacement.

A bit disappointed with this order. I placed an order on 13th April around 9pm. Usually the order is dispatched within next couple of days. However, for 4-5 days there was no information from the company so I submitted a query on 18th April. As I didn't receive the response I called customer services next day (who were a bit puzzled why the order is not dispatched). They told me that the order will be sent that day (19th). I checked my account and also the delivery info and my order was actually dispatched on 21st. Quite disappointed this time.
