I just wish I had done some research on Repaircare before instructing them to solve the issue with my dishwasher.
I instructed Repaircare, online and paid £145. I was promptly charged. Engineers came and found that the sealant needed replacing. They ordered the parts and arranged for another visit. When they visited, the part delivered to them was wrong, apparently.
Thereafter the delaying tactics started.
"We have to reorder the correct part and it will take 2 weeks"
"The part is not in stock, it will be another 2 weeks..."
"Sometimes the parts have to be ordered from abroad, another 3 weeks..."
"Now we don't know when it will be available..."
11 weeks later, "The part is now obsolete..."
This company in just an intermediary taking advantage of the customer and the engineer. I was told that the engineers only get paid for 1 visit (not the 2nd one to install the faulty parts) if the part doesn't work. In the meantime they have my money and left us in a mess. All this talk of the Repaircare being an ethical company interested in its customers . . . nonsense! How can they when they have no direct contacts with the manufacturers?
