Disappointing Experience

After carefully reviewing the most suitable tyres for my car within my budget, I chose a new set of Falkens.
They had favourable reviews on every site and were reasonably priced.
Placing my order was simple enough, and my required fitting time appeared available.
However, the morning of my fitting came and I received a phone call advising that my tyres had not beeen loaded onto the van, and woulkd I like to choose
A) Different tyres or B) A different fitting date

My second choice of tyre by Nexen was not available, therefore I requested the fitters opinion of the best alternative to the Falkens and Nexens. Needless to say, the recommendations were all considerably more expensive.
My request for a discount by way of compensation for having to take more expensive tyres was flatly refused.

I opted to take another day off work in the end to get my original choice tyres fitted.
The second fitter arrived on time the following day, and fitted my new tyres without any further problems.

If my original tyres had been fitted as and when agreed, my review would have been much more favourable. But to just expect a customer to pay more money than agreed, or put up with shoddy service resulting in a missed days work with barely an apology is frankly unacceptable.

Excellent customer service

Despite placing my order late in the afternoon I had email confirmation that someone would be with me the next day. A telephone call was received from the fitter the next morning to give an ETA. This didn't happen though due to a problem with their vehicle. Not to worry I was given an apology and a revised ETA.... Unfortunately this too was put back due to the aformentioned breakdown being more problematic than was originally thought.
A final call was made to me about 6pm and a very apologetic fitter turned up around 7pm. By way of recompense for the inconvenience I was given an unsolicited upgrade on the tyres I'd originally ordered, which was a very nice gesture.
Breakdowns happen, and I was kept informed about the situation regularly to minimise the inconvenience. Overall very pleased by the communications, workmanship and customer relations. I would definately use them again and have already recommended them to a couple of people.
