With all the different products and components out there, it's difficult to state that PC Specialist is the cheaper for everything. It probably isn't. But where it isn't it will probably be very close. I did some serious shopping around before buying (including PC World, Currys, Scan, Aria) and with everything taken into account PC Specialist came out at the best value.
The ability to customise your order - brilliant. Why doesn't everyone offer this?
Website informative, honest and functional.
Package building and ordering process - faultless. Kept up to date more than any company I've experienced.
Delivery was as expected. MASSIVE cardboard box - cat had a field day.
Everything built and preloaded as expected - no problems.
So far, everything is great. I bought all-in-one PC, Vanguard touch screen. Very quiet - FAST, looks great and does everything it says on the tin.
I have two issues. First is the wireless card, built in. I opted for the 150mbps + Bluetooth and to be honest, it doesn't work that well. It cuts out frequently and persistently, even though other wireless devices (in the same location) still work. I was going to query the issue with PC Specialist but had my router moved downstairs, so just went for a wired internet anyway, so not really an issue anymore. I cant categorically say that it was faulty or a poor product, but I expected better performance in that respect.
The other problem is the built in speakers. It says that they are high quality speakers. They are not. The sound is fine for beeps and chimes and other normal PC sounds. But no human being would put themselves through listening to music or watching a movie with these speakers. Yes I know, all-in-one built in speakers - what did I expect? Well, to be honest - this. Still, it would be awesome if they were better. I'd advise EVERYONE to upgrade to a better set when buying if you intend to use the PC for music/movies/games. If not, then they are probably fine.
Everything else though is spot on. Would highly recommend the product and the company and I will be doing if ever asked.
