Booked this parcel with Interlink Direct at 11:00 for same day collection. Website defaulted to 2 day delivery service, which I didn't notice.
16:45, no collection. Tried using the customer service contact form 3 times, no response. Eventually found a number in the Sun(!) and got through to a customer service person. Apparently the driver was scheduled to pick it up by 13:00, hadn't managed it and hadn't told the depot, so they couldn't schedule another driver to come pick it up!!!!!!!!!!
Because the service was mistakenly booked on a two day, I cancelled and rebooked because I had promised the customer to get it there the next day. I couldn't use my £5 voucher again, so that proved to be useless in the end, and I had to go 6 miles and back to their depot to drop it off. So not only has this cost me an extra £5 for the delivery, it has also cost me the price of getting to the depot and back by taxi!
