I contacted Amazon regarding a malfunctioning Kindle. The Kindle was just outside the warranty period. However, I was offered a replacement Kindle. The new Kindle was delivered within 48 hours. The postage to return my old Kindle was pre-paid. I am very impressed with this standard of service. Of course, it does mean that I am able and willing to continue to purchase Kindle books. I would not have done so if I had not received a replacement Kindle.
Item ordered on i-store-online website not delivered after two months. Only ordered from the site because payment was via PayPal. The seller (who seems to be based in Germany) has an apparently elaborate mode of dispatching goods. It is unlikely that goods are ever in fact dispatched. I think the elaborate system is to string the customer along for so long that they are barred from opening a dispute via PayPal - because too much time has elapsed since the original purchase. What I don't get is why PayPal has not suspended the seller's account?

I am very impressed with A.O.com. Not only are the goods competitively priced but delivery is free. Right from the time the order was placed online, I was kept up to date with the progress of the order. Pleasingly, I was also contacted the evening before and on the morning of delivery to be given a window for planned delivery time. This made it easier all round. I would certainly use A.O.com again.
