At first, I was pleased with the white painted furniture but then I noticed ridges and cracks appearing in several of the pieces, most noticeably the surface of the coffee table and one door front of the sideboard. Both have raised ridges the full width indicating a problem with the wood underneath. Staff at Furn-on have done nothing except tell me that there is a one year manufacturer's warranty and my complaint arrived just after that one year was up. They seem oblivious to the Sale of Goods Act and that my contract is with them and not the manufacturer. Other problems included email accounts at Furn-on that would not accept the photos I tried to send them of all the faults. Since my initial complaint cracks in the paint at all the joints have appeared. They tried to tell me my central heating is to blame. But I don't have central heating! And I pointed out that other, older painted furniture from Laura Ashley is as good today as when I bought it three years ago.
In the absence of a suitable response they leave me no alternative but to take them to court.
