I purchased a watch for £360 and arranged interest free finance. I received the watch, they sent the wrong manual and the 2 year international warranty card was blank. I tried the watch on once, set the time and date and put it in its box. Next morning I checked it and the time was wrong, it was out by hours! It appeared to have an obvious fault. I decided that the watch was not as expected and I changed my mind.
You would think that's okay there's a fault and they have their 30 day returns policy, wrong! I returned the watch within 24 hours of receiving it by special delivery tracked, with returns form completed and a letter asking for a refund, they received it the next day. Ever since I have been fobbed off, ignored and feel I am being bullied into keeping a watch I do not want.
I have attempted to use The Sale of Goods Act to get my money back, they just claimed they could not find a fault and wanted to return 'my watch' to me. I am now working with the Citizens Advice Bureau to get my refund. I am using the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 and Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. It does appear at last I may be getting somewhere with the finance company.
Bottom line is DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR CONSUMER RIGHTS!! Go to a reputable trusted known brand on the high street. I hope Trading Standards take action against them.
