In the context of City Link, we have observed as follows;
1. They operate an anticipated delivery period from 0730 to 1730 (10 Hours!!)
2. A driver who came to our front door with an "Unable to deliver card" already written out (Do their self-employed drivers get paid to re-deliver?!)
3. A card posted through the door within a few feet of us saying there had been no response when the driver called - he neither rang the bell or knocked!!
4. An option to collect the parcel from City Link's "Local" depot, in the event of non-delivery. Meaningless as the "local" depot is approximately 50 miles away at Newmarket!!
If you are a company that values it's customers, you may be wise to resist a short-term 'cheap delivery rates' gain and consider the long-term cost of customers who will look elsewhere for your products. In my view, this company is very bad news.
