Back in early April 2013, my wife and I ordered a couple of easy chairs
that suited us well. Delivery was quoted for approx. 6 to 8 weeks but that wasn't a problem for us.
However, because these chairs were sourced - I believe from Australia? - and obviously there were supply chain problems of one sort or another, there was a far longer delay than either us or Furniture Village had anticipated. But Furniture Village staff always gave us an up-date whenever we telephoned and when by September the chairs had still not materialised, we were offered alternative chairs and also asked whether we wanted to cancel. When we declined both options because we wanted the chairs we had chosen, we were given a 10% discount to compensate for the delay. The chairs eventually arrived in November - just as the winter weather really took hold, and therefore more 'nights in'. They arrived as ordered, in perfect condition, and fully built. The delivery itself was well signalled and confirmed on the morning itself. Well done Furniture Village - we all 'stayed the course' together!
