I have been a customer with plusnet since August and all I can really say is slow, slow, slow. Today I have reported it for the 2nd time and yes I know I should report it more often but I have a life as well. The last time I was told they classed it as acceptable ( I was receiving 2.4 avg download speed ) eventhough it was below the 3 - 7mbps quoted when I signed up ( I am sure they are 100% correct and it will be in the T&Cs somewhere). If it drops below 1.8mbps then they say it is an issue. With BT it wasn't super fast but I received a pretty constant 3 - 3.5 mbps which was okay and was never slow enough that I felt the need to complain. If you try and phone to speak to an advisor expect to be on hold for 40-60 minutes. Today my average speed is 2.1 which as a customer I say is too slow regardless of Plusnet having a floor of 1.8mbps which must be about as fast as posting a letter. I am now counting down until the end of my contract so I can pay a little more and go back to BT. Talk about a false economy, I have learnt my lesson.
