I purchased a Western Digital Red 3TB NAS HDD from OcUK but unfortunately it was D.O.A. Possibly caused by bad handling during transit but it was packaged in thick layers of bubble wrap and a box, so no complaints about that.
Unfortunately these things happen, but its when things like this go wrong that you see what a company is really like in the customer service department.
So I posted a message on their Tech support forums and within a few hours I'd got an RMA reference from a polite chap called Bailey (forum name). So I sent the HDD back on next day delivery, and within the space of a few hours they'd tested it, confirmed it faulty, and had shipped a replacement the same day (all confirmed through emails)
The very next day the new HDD arrived safely and more importantly, working! So From receiving the RMA reference to receiving the new HDD was all done within 48 hours! So thanks for the polite and prompt service!
