Refusal to believe item was received in a tatty box

My wife received the Bosch food mixer (tatty box did not matter so much) but when she opened the box and saw all the accessories she did not require, she decided to return. The returns authority was approved but when Go Electrical received it back they would only blame the courier for damage and even said the equipment was all scratched now but my wife had not even removed the unit from the packaging. The company will accept no liability and subsequently we have issued a county court summons because we know we had not touched the unit. It is so frustrating and all the Director would say was it was not their fault. I used to work in retail and I know that returns can get recycled and I am sure this is the case this time. Anyway the court have the power to inspect documentation on the movement of that product from their supply date.

Thank you for your order.
On delivery of your order we were not made aware of any problem with the state in which the item arrived to you. We accepted the item as an authorised no-fault return as it was not suitable for your needs, we have different procedures for different situations and as you advised you were not happy with the product this was handled as a no-fault return. We respectfully ask that the item is boxed or bagged for safe transit and hasn’t been written on, so it reaches us in a state that is ‘as new’.
On arrival into us the parcel had been repackaged by Yodel due to damage and on opening the parcel the machine was badly scratched and marked. We advised that the item had arrived in this state and suggested you made a claim with Yodel as they had delivered the item back to us in this state. The responsibility of a no-fault return is down to the customer and the carrier they choose to return the item for them, and in this instance the item has arrived back to us in an unsellable state.

Not what they used to be

They may be part of the Walmart group but they certainly don't act like a big company in the Wallasey store. On the odd occasion I have had problems I have found the staff arrogant and most unhelpful. On one occasion I bought a unique Asda kitchen item which became faulty a few days later, on returning the faulty item without receipt they told me they could not find the exclusive Asda item on their system as refused to do anything. It was only when I rang Asda head office that they magically found the barcode. At the price, the attitude was pathetic. It is not the first time I had problems with them.

Dreadful customer service

I have had to go there with my son several times and also bought computers and accessories off them. Their staff are most unhelpful, terrible after sales service, and I really only go there now if I am desperate.

In fairness, the branch I refer to is in Birkenhead, where service is slow and several times I have just walked out.

About the only place I can buy all types of dog food and treats that no one else stocks. The staff are always very helpful, I am talking about the Bromborough Wirral branch but I have been elsewhere and same helpful staff.

Broadband and Phone package great value

I initially had a problem with Talktalk over wrong package but the management were truly professional and with tenacity sorted all my problems out keeping me informed on a regular basis. I have now been with them over a year and cannot afford to change to anyone else. Why you may ask ? My wife speaks for hours to her friends and relatives overseas for a modest monthly payment and also we get UK landline phone calls free with small monthly payment, it has reduced my phone bills by £40 per month.

Super value on many items

Just check around but you cannot go wrong because you can return goods to a store if you wish. My wife bought a coat off them recently and the quality was excellent and all her friends wanted to buy too, fortunately they don't live in our area.

Just cannot fault their service

I buy regularly through Amazon and always find their prices and quality good. On the odd occasion where I have had a problem it has been resolved very quickly

Great sale prices and genuine

Bought a solid oak table and chairs recently and even though there was a mix up on delivery and a some damage on table, all was sorted out, no fuss

They had an offer for the Grand National so I tried them, they were as good as their word.

Excellent prices, delivery as promised

The HTC phone I recently bought off them is excellent, definitely the best price in the UK, the only thing I did not like was the way they add on ''free'' insurance for one month which thereafter is chargeable, mainly because you don't have the option to say no initially and can easily forget. Also, why should we have to pay for a phone call to cancel something we did not want in the first place.

Mattress Next Day

As good as their promise

Even though they did not have the exact mattress, they immediately called me and offered a better deal at same price. The mattress arrived next day before midday, free delivery and with a gift too. I cannot fault them and will definitely use them again.
