To update my recent, rather negative review (which I didn't realise would go live!) by saying that I had a call immediately from The Drink Shop after posting this review and they are fully refunding my delivery charge and were extremely apologetic and helpful. FULL MARKS for brilliant customer service, very, very impressive!
As always, the items arrived - however, the packaging was really badly damaged! I was shocked how one end of the box was so crumpled and nearly ripped open - I was only relieved that none of the bottles were damaged - however some of the labels had been ripped off. The delivery guy even said to my husband (who the gifts were for), to be careful because the package was very damp?! But there was no apology! It really wasn't good enough for the packaging to arrive in that state.
Also I paid the same amount of delivery charge for another drinks company and their delivery arrived sooner and in better condition (and I ordered after ordering from The Drink Shop). I know there were issues with your courier company a few years back when there were problems over Christmas with items not arriving due to bad weather and I contacted you then about this and you said you were reviewing the contract with the courier company - I believe you are still with them, which suprises me. I do want to order from you again but I would expect better value for the money I'm paying for delivery.
