I am in the midst of trying to return a dress from Ted Baker that I ordered online. What a fiasco! I live in Canada and ordered the dress online. It took more than a week to arrive, by which point we had left for 3 1/2 weeks for our Xmas vacation. Upon our return I realized the dress didn't fit. I noticed that I only had 28 days to return it so called the Customer Service department immediately to discuss the return procedure. Nobody answered so I left a message explaining the urgency due to the fact that my return period was almost over. I left daily messages for ONE WEEK and nobody called me back. I finally called the ordering number and they tried to suggest I call the Customer Service number that I had had zero luck with. I explained the situation and they said they would have somebody contact me. NOBODY did. Finally, the next day I tried the Customer Service number one last time and amazingly enough they answered. I told them that they would need to extend the return policy as they had taken 8 days to pick up the phone. Then the next difficult part came. I am trying to return the wretched dress but, unlike other companies, Ted Baker doesn't supply all the paperwork in its packages. I had to contact UPS to try and organize getting back the $108.00 they had collected in duties. I am having to fill out this incredible Custom's Form full of information that I don't have and now I have to call back wretched Ted Baker and try and get things like their VATnumber and a multitude of other information. Let me compare this to a return I am doing with Net a Porter. I ordered three dresses, they arrived 2 days later. One didn't fit, I signed the 4 copies of documentation, and called DHL on the prepaid return slip that they had enclosed. Within 12 hours the dress was being returned. THAT is how a quality company should treat its clients. I will never shop online again with Ted Baker and I suggest that you don't either.
