I had just written HiFX on my to do list when I got a phone call from Sam, my account manager, what is he, a mind reader?
Unbeknown to me he had kept an eye on my transactions and deduced I was getting ready for the next stage in my house buying process. He was very patient in explaining the forward buying process to a financial novice. Once we had discussed my needs over the phone, the email and contract was through within about 3 minutes.
I did still make a mistake in my telephone transfer of funds by forgetting the reference. Katie rang me very promptly and explained what further information should be given. I didn't have the information to hand, so she emailed me. I was able to find the information within minutes of putting down the phone. She politely emailed me back to thank me for my prompt action
At every stage both Sam and Katie held my hand to see me through the action to be taken.
To people more experienced, this may not seem much, but as a first timer in these things, it was very helpful without being patronising.
