Dealing with customer service is like pulling teeth.

The laptop I bought online and had delivered to store, had a fault with the screen when it arrived. I liked the laptop so wanted a replacement so I went back to the shop at about 7PM. The shop staff told me that they couldn't organise a replacement as I'd bought it online so I'd have to ring the CS helpline. I did this at 7:40PM, at 7:55PM I got through to a human who promptly informed me that the online team didn't have time to deal with me as it was home time. A couple of days later, after nearly an hour on the phone, I finally got them to arrange a pickup for the faulty one and was informed that as soon as it was received I would be sent a replacement. This shouldn't be more than 3 days from pickup. I had to wait in ALL the next day for the courier to arrive, but he left me a receipt and informed that it would arrive at it's destination the next day. 7 days later and no word (or laptop) from Currys, so I rang them again. On hold for 10 minutes then got cut off. Rang again and got through after another 15 minutes whereupon I was informed that although their system was showing the laptop as having arrived, due to a backlog they hadn't been able to check it. I explained that I just wanted a replacement to which I was told that there were no replacements available. A refund then? Nope, not until it has been checked and then it will take a further 3 days to process. It's been over 10 days now and still no sign of a refund and I can't bear to waste any more time calling them. I just won't bother with them in future.
