customer service appalling

Ordered a duel fuel range cooker instore (Team Valley Gateshead) 25th Jan for delivery Sat 1st Feb when it arrived it was not duel fuel, after making phone calls we were told we would have to go instore to sort it out (a 40 mile round trip) once there they agreed immediately they had made a mistake, the cooker we ordered was not available as duel fuel so we had to choose another model. The original cost £1099 the next one we chose increased to £1299,we had also originally bought a cooker hood and splash back. I now had no cooker at home but regardless of this was told the new model couldn, t be delivered until 5th Feb as there were no deliveries to my post code before then which would mean taking a day off work, I didn, t want to do this so asked for the cooker to be delivered in store the next day and we would collect from there apparently this wasn, t possible until I said we would just cancel and go elsewhere, when amazingly this suddenly was possible after all !!! We then asked for a discount to make up for the inconvenience, we were offered £50 but we felt they should meet us half way with £100 bearing in mind we were going to go back to store again to pick up the cooker ourselves, they made us feel we were being unreasonable to ask for this and refused so I cancelled the whole order just under £1500. What a brilliant move - once home 4.00pm on a Saturday afternoon ordered the same model for less than Currys price with a different company online delivered 8.30am the next morning (Sunday) now thats what I call service. Currys take note stop treating the very people who are keeping you in work with contempt. Perhaps thats the reason there are so many empty shops on the high street. Your service is shocking and the way you speak to customers is even worse I will never shop with Curry, s again I hope your £50 was worth losing the sale. Not even worth 1 star
