I needed a replacement central heating pump, and was searching around for the best price when mrcentralheating.co.uk cropped up. I had never heard of them, but the reviews looked good, and I was only talking about £60, so gave them a try.
Well, I can honestly say the whole experience was like a breath of fresh air - it's how all on-line shops should operate. From the moment the order was accepted, I had several emails keeping me well informed about the staus and delivery... and within a day (and within the time slot they had given me), the goods duly arrived.
I have no negative things to say at all - well recommended.
I have been using Zavvi for years - ever since "The Hut" group took over the name (and before that too). I can honestly say that every time I order, I always get the goods... and what's more, I have usually paid well below the going price anyway.
I mostly use them for DVD's and Blu-ray, but I have bought kitchen stuff, games and PC parts (disk drives) in the past.
They often send discount code which makes the prices even keener. Just recently, for instance, I bought (and received within two days) a Robert De Niro Blu-ray box set for just over eleven quid - can't be bad.
On the odd occasion that I have had a faulty disc, they replaced it immediately, so no problems on the customer services front either.
Even though they are part of "The Hut" group, sometimes the prices vary between the two, so it's worth checking both. Certainly, they often beat the "other" big name for pricing so they are always worth a look.
All in all, very happy..... David
I visited WAE+ for the first time today. I had done some price comparisons for a D-Link usb hub, and WAE+ kept coming up as one of the cheapest.
I had never heard of them before, so was a little wary.... but when I saw that they were also on Topcashback (though not Quidco ?), I was confident things were ok.
It was quick to register (though you don't have to), and my order was completed very quickly. In truth, I would like to see P&P inclusive prices, as sometimes they can really shock you at the end of an order - in my case they weren't too bad. Also a bit disappointed I couldn't pay by Amex, even though you are led to believe that Amex is accepted (probably is, but not through the credit card payment method).
All in all though, a good experience, and a company I will certainly use again (providing the usb hub actually turns up of course).
Update 03/05/2013... Still fairly happy with these guys, but my order did take over two weeks to arrive. Admittedly, they did give me an original delivery time of up to 10 days, but I think over two weeks is pushing it a bit.. Their prices are good, but they do need to get better on delivery times. I am still leaving it at 5 stars because of the price and the fact that I did get an excellent D-Link 7 port usb hub.
Have now used DAPW for two orders and can honestly say they have been excellent in every respect... quality, communication, price and speed of delivery. I am astounded at some of the negative reviews here, as I have found them to be top drawer. Perhaps there were some issues at the time, but DAPW certainly seem to have ironed that all out.
Keep up the good work.
