I decided to purchase some sake from the drink shop for my boyfriend's birthday as it had a great selection and you could choose the day of delivery. Was a bit hesitant as the delivery cost was a bit more expensive than amazon etc. however I decided to go for it.
I received a call beforehand to confirm I wax over 18 which was easy and painless and the lady on the phone was friendly and chatty.
The delivery came on time (though it would be great to have a courier who can give a more specific time of day, but hey, I'm nitpicking here)
Boyfriend loved the sake and it was better than the pap we get from the supermarket. This website is awesome and full of win and I'd highly recommend to anyone who's looking for some speciality booze!
After ordering a bed from a disastrous company that never delivered, I decided to buy a bed from Time4Sleep as the reviews on here were so high. The range of beds were great, they had exactly the kind that I wanted, and they confirmed a delivery time of 2 working days.
The email contact was great, and the company who delivers texts you to let you know a time slot. However, the delivery men were over 2 hours late! Not a huge deal, but kind of made the text message moot.
The bed was surprisingly easy to put together, and was really sturdy. Was a bit disappointed that the slats are put in loose and you don't screw them in. Also, the bed that I ordered was a double, but it is a good half a foot longer than our mattress (which is a standard double). Kind of confused as to how that happened - I guess I should have looked more closely at the measurements, but when you order a double you think you're getting a double!
Nevertheless, I'm happy with the overall product and would buy again.
Update: I contacted the company and they apologised re: the delivery and also compensated me for the bed, so am really happy!
Tescos always has a great range of food and drink available in their online grocery store, and its simple and fuss-free. All the delivery guys come with a smile on their face, and even when I've had issues with their substitutions, I have called the customer services line, and they refund you without question.
One of the most memorable times I had to call customer services was when the driver had left the freezer door open and all the frozen food had fallen out down the motorway! I found this hilarious as I'd only ordered about 2 or 3 things from the freezer dept, and the guy was really young and nervous! When I called customer services they kindly refunded my frozen goods as well as the delivery cost.
When I was with Orange I found that the deal I got at the time was great - unlimited internet access and a free iPhone etc. However, I constantly had signal problems with their 3G service - even when I was in central London where you would assume they have loads of masts!
I called to complain but they reeled off all of the old stuff about how its in your contract and iPhones aren't reliable when it comes to 3G etc.
I eventually got some money off my bill for their shoddy customer service, but I couldn't escape my contract and had to put up with rubbish 3G for another year.
Towards the end of my contract I damaged my iPhone and had to resort to using an old 2G phone (there was no way I was going to renew my contract with Orange!) and when I phoned them up to asked them to downgrade my tariff as I explained I no longer was going to need the unlimited internet access, they at first told me this wasn't possible, and then begrudgingly took £5 off my monthly bill.
Needless to say I cancelled my contract as soon as I could and went to O2. Everyone seems to have mixed views of phone companies, but I don't think I'd chance Orange again.

Our bed broke on Sunday and I saw that BedroomWorld does next day delivery/named delivery, and they had the perfect bed that we wanted to replace our old worn out bed as soon as possible.
The delivery was scheduled to come tomorrow, and my boyfriend had scheduled time off work to be at home to collect it, however by 5pm today we had not had a call, email, or text to confirm the delivery was coming tomorrow.
I called customer services (on their ridiculously expensive 0844 number) to do their job and find out what was happening. I'm glad that I did call, because they told me that they couldn't get in touch with the supplier, and the item was out of stock anyway. Well, how on earth did I manage to spend £400 on something that was out of stock? Who knows how long I would have been waiting if I didn't call up to double check!
Thankfully, the person on the phone cancelled my order (I can't really fault the guy on the phone -it wasn't really his fault that the company is so shoddy) however I still haven't got an email confirming the money will not be taken from my credit card and the bed has been cancelled.
I thought I'd give this company a chance, but seriously, listen to the reviews - this is a waste of time company that needs to sort its website out.
Update: the company contacted me after this review and apologised, and sent me an email confirming I will get a refund. The item is also now shown as out of stock on the site. Still, I will never ever buy anything from this company.
I ordered just a mattress and the quality/price etc was really great. However, I have one qualm about the deliveries - if you want to have a time slot that isn't as vague as "any time between 9am and 6pm" then you have to pay quite a hefty fee for it. And if you want to have it delivered on Saturday you have to pay £30 for it. News for you guys - most people are only available on weekends, and this extra £30 charge makes some of your mattresses less affordable than another company. I opted to go for you guys because I could choose the day I wanted it on and luckily I already had a day booked off work so I could wait in for it, however it would have been nice if the driver could have just called on the day of delivery to give an ETA - it's not that hard, plenty of other companies do it, and so should you to make your company better.
Whilst I'm not down rating the quality of the product, things like the delivery really do make a difference, and I am glad that i got to pick the day I wanted it on, however in this day and age you would think that it wouldn't cost anything just to have the driver call and give an ETA so you can actually feel free to get on with your day without expecting the delivery to come at any moment.
