Hmm...Just purchased a camera case from WAE+, slightly cheaper than Amazon, free postage, so far so good. When using a site for the first time, I never let them keep details, I like to find out what they are like first, so I was happy to see that they had a 'Guest Checkout' option. My (and I guess everybody else's) understanding of guest checkout is that an account is not set up and details are not kept.
The confirmation email, however, informed me that they had AUTOMATICALLY set up an account in my name despite me checking out as a guest! This is very naughty (possibly illegal?) and not what was inferred by their checkout procedure. I shall wait until I receive the goods then see how they respond to a request to remove my details.
Update: The Jury is Back.
Received goods on time (one day ahead, in fact) and they were satisfactory, so overall pleased with WAE this time. Next time will check the review sites to see if their street-cred has gone up, as it stands would not order from them again unless there is significant improvement.
I ordered garden furniture from Greenfingers, who use this carrier. The order was for 24 hour delivery. Four days later and I am still waiting. The tracking number does not work. Why do companies use such unreliable carriers?
PS: 5 days late, just 4 chairs have arrived, 2 chairs and a table have gone missing and carrier does not know where they are.
Products and service from Greenfingers overall is good. They are let down by their carriers, Nightfreight.co.uk. You can check out their appalling record on this site. If Greenfingers were to drop this carrier, their ratings would improve enormously. For your reputation's sake and for the sake of your customers, I urge you review you delivery methods.
Update: Greenfingers now claim that the '24 hour dispatch' offered on their website - for which a fee is charged - is only for getting it to the local (in this case Edinburgh) depot. After that it can take anything up to 3 days, which is the normal delivery time anyway. Make of this what you will, but to me it smells of a scam to get more money. I have downgraded my star rating accordingly.
Further update: Have received just 4 chairs, 2 chairs and a table are 'missing' and carrier does not know where they are. It just gets worse.

I tried to order by tablet from this company. The process was long and confusing with many unrelated questions. Eventually, however, the transaction failed. I contacted MedicAnimal and asked them to remove all my details from their system, as I was able to purchase similar items by tablet more easily, and without the Spanish Inquisition. They replied and said my details had been removed. Then they began to spam my email address. Obviously, they did not remove my details.
Response to MedicAnimal: My main points were that the transaction failed due to a flaky tablet interface which you might have wanted to investigate, and that after you said my details had been removed from your system you continued to spam me. Neither point has been addressed.
