I was waiting for a parcel to be delivered, i received the email infomringme when the parcel would be delivered on the day of deliver and unfortunately i was at Work, i thought nothing of it i'd just rearrange the delivery. I got home got my calling card went on the DPD website and rearrange the delivery; i paid £6 to have it redelivered the next day in the afternoon. Come the next day, my one day off work, i sat and waited, and the parcel never came. I was really confused i paid for it to be delivered that day. I looked for a number to call to find out where my parcel was, no number to a person just an automated message. So i sent a customer service email asking about the parcels whereabouts. The next day i get up check my emails nothing, i send another message and it tells me it'll be 24hours before i'll get an answer, at the same time i get an email saying the package is being delivered. At this point i was amazed at how wrong DPD had got it, they hadn't contacted me to ask if it was okay, they just put the package on the van and sent it off, unfortunately i was at work that afternoon, what was i to do. In the end i had the ring round and find someone to sit in and wait for my package. I'm disgusted that i paid for a service at a certain time and it never happened and no-one contacted me to say it wasn’t going to happen.
the parcel finaly arrived with the help of my sister waiting in, but once i went online to check the whereabouts of the parcel during it's missing 24hours i found out that i'd paided for the upgrade at 15:04 then at 15:09 on the same day they'd decided they could deliver it for when i'd paid for. So no email or anything to tell me this, it just on the websites tracking more info. DPD have emailed me and said they will attempt to get me a refund, well see if that happens.
