Bought the 5 drawer tallboy drawers. Expected delivery with in 3 to 5 days as stated on the website and my invoice. Should have recieved an call/text when it was due for delivery as per my email but never recieved one, use the online form to find out where it is, never got a reply. Checked my tracking number i was given on the XDP courier website, fat lot of good that was, no info at all. (Feel free to search for reviews on XDP Couriers)
The tallboy looked great on the website, a nice picture.
Unwrapped the packaging which is a few bits of cardboard and some shrink wrap to find the bottom corner was dent where it had been dropped.
Then noticed a rattling sound and the drawers all wobbled. 4 screws from the drawers runner had fallen out and all the other screws had come loose. Not only had they used the wrong screws for the contiboard wood. Yes its contiboard/particle not actual fibre board as per the description. They have also chosen the worst and the cheapest drawer runners money can buy.
Any way, the drawers all in place you'll soon notice that not only do the drawers not sit central to the cabinet they also have different gaps between each drawer.
This piece of furniture is actually the most poorly made piece i have ever seen. I quote from worldstores "For value and high quality craftsmanship, look no further than the Sherwood 5 Drawer Tallboy" you are joking arent you?!?!?!
Ive weighed up the choices of fixing the furniture myself or going through the hassle of sending it back and getting it back, it looks a hassle judging by other reviews.
So im going to keep it as a reminder of my stupidity of not reading reviews of World Stores before purchasing. A piece of furniture that will haunt me each time i see it for the next few months, as it will probably have fallen apart by then and ill have to buy another set of drawers from a proper furniture shop.
