Mattressman
goods faulty & replaced with wrong item
Bought a single divan base on 10 day order. Order processing and delivery communications good. Arrived to schedule but on careful inspection of delivery, found fabric ripped along edge of divan. Refused delivery and rang Mattressman. Delivery man accommodating and took it away immediately. Mattressman rang back, extremely apologetic, but of course I now have to wait another 10 days while daughter sleeps on floor! Can't really blame Mattressman but frustrating nonetheless.
Update...
Replacement divan delivered 27/2 but after getting it upstairs and unpacking it, found it was a sprung edged one, not a platform top as ordered. Livid! Another 3 hours of my life wasted. Rang them and was told had been a mix up at depot & they would swop the next day. However they only offered me an all day delivery slot which was unacceptable after 2 days wasted already. Pushed for & got morning delivery but was then farcically told that couldn't have a morning collection. despite admitting it was the same courier doing both. Even the supervisor trotted out the same nonsense. Idiots governed by an idiotic system. Will never use Mattressman again. Shame as they appear to offer good range of goods at good prices, but let down by incompetence.
Further update...
Third divan delivered today. Seemed ok and was indeed platform top. On unpacking discovered short deep gash in side which had ripped the fabric. Probably damaged at Silentnight before Mattresman ever received and virtually undetectabel without removing all plastic packaging. Now incandescent! Rang them, told to collect tomorrow and give me full refund. I give up. Never again...

Having given up on a well known High Street retailer because the cut of their garments is unflattering, colours old-fashioned and prices uncompetitive, I am delighted to have found Woolovers from where to choose a new jumper or cardie when the need takes me! Really pleased with the merino & cashmere mix Classic Ladies Crew Neck which is beautifully soft and warm and I defy anyone to find a similar garment for the price anywhere else. I am a 10/12 top, needing the 12 for breadth of shoulders but 10 for chest. The medium size was fairly generous around the chest but not unsuitably so. Neck fine to pull over head but no cold wide gap at neck, sleeves perfect and nice length for a 5'8" person. I would certainly recommend.
